Amy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. After spending a few years working in the financial industry, she felt called to education and transitioned into teaching as a high school tennis coach and math teacher.

Amy has been a part of the Wylie Prep community for the past 18 years, where she currently teaches math and serves as the Campus Life Director. She also brings more than 20 years of experience tutoring elementary through high school students in math.

Throughout her years in education and tutoring, Amy has developed a passion not only for helping students understand math, but also for helping them believe in their own abilities. She strives to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and working through challenging concepts without fear of failure. Her goal is for every student to leave a tutoring session feeling more confident and capable than when they arrived—not simply knowing how to solve a particular problem, but feeling equipped to approach the next challenge on their own.
