After earning my Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Oklahoma, I began a joyful 16-year journey teaching in Oklahoma’s public, private, and charter schools. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping students grow, learn, and shine during their elementary years.
Now, I’m absolutely thrilled to be in Rockwall, Texas, continuing to do what I love most: teaching! I’ve had the pleasure of working with students from kindergarten through sixth grade, and I’m passionate about creating warm, engaging, and supportive learning environments where every child feels seen, valued, and encouraged to be their very best.
As a reading intervention specialist and dyslexia advocate, I especially love working with students who need a little extra support in reading and writing, whether they’re just beginning to unlock the mysteries of phonics or searching for that one magical book that makes reading "click." I’m LETRS-certified, trained in structured literacy and multisensory intervention, and have extensive experience with IEW writing instruction for both elementary and middle school students. This fall, I’ll complete my master’s degree in Literacy with a Dyslexia endorsement, further deepening my ability to help students become confident, capable readers.
Whether I’m guiding students through math, science, or social studies or supporting their growth as readers and writers, my greatest joy is watching their confidence bloom as they discover new skills and ideas. I truly believe that with the right encouragement, patience, and a little creativity, every child can succeed. My goal is to make learning a positive, empowering experience for every student.
